Product Introduction:

Red clover is a medicinal and edible herb which is rich in nutrients such as protein and vitamins. Its inflorescence and flowers with branches and leaves can be used as medicine. The aerial part of red clover can be used to process healthy dietary supplement.

We choose red clover plants from our cooperated farm. During the whole production, we only use water and ethanol to make the extraction. Its active ingredients are mainly total isoflavones(Biochanin A、Formononetin、Daidzein、Genistein、Formonontin、Sissotrin、Daidzin、Genistin), which have a phytoestrogen effects. All these ingredients(total isoflavones) play an significant role in improving osteoporosis and women's menopause symptoms.

What’s the function of red clover extract?

1. Relieve menopausal symptoms

A double-blind study published in the journal Gynecological Endocrinology tested the effect of red clover extract on 60 postmenopausal women over 40 years old, all of whom had a menopausal symptom composite Score of 15.

Women were randomly assigned to two groups, one group receiving 80 milligrams of red clover extract supplement daily for 90 consecutive days, and the other group receiving an equal amount of placebo; After a seven day pause, exchange the two groups and continue taking medication for 90 days.

Women who supplemented with red clover showed an average improvement of about 78% in  score, while those who took placebo only increased by about 23%. Researchers have concluded that red clover can significantly alleviate the overall symptoms of menopause.

2. Reduce symptoms of hot flashes

Dutch researchers had 30 postmenopausal women consume 80 milligrams of red clover per day, resulting in a 44% reduction in hot flashes. According to these women's self-reports, overall their menopausal symptoms improved by 13%.

3. Prevent bone loss

Female hormones are important in maintaining bone density, and hormone deficiency is the main cause of osteoporosis. The study shows red clover extract will make bone formation markers significantly increased.

4. Reduce the risk of breast cancer

High female hormone is the pathogenic factor of breast cancer. Red clover contains various isoflavones that can balance female hormone levels. A special isoflavone in red clover extract like biochanin A, can fight breast cancer by inhibiting the activity of aromatase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the transformation of male hormones into female hormones. Cell growth affected by aromatase activity is also inhibited

5. Anti prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, second only to lung cancer. Dietary isoflavones from red clover have anti prostate cancer effects. Researchers have pointed out that red clover isoflavones may prevent the development of prostate cancer.
